Formed by the merger of Gary’s Tux Shops and Gingiss Formalwear, The Gingiss Group was engaged in the rental and sale of men’s formal wear.
In 1997 Gary’s Tux Shops was acquired as a platform to consolidate to consolidate the highly fragmented formal wear rental industry. Headquartered in Van Nuys, CA, Gary’s operated more than 80 retail stores throughout California, commanding a dominant share in its regional markets. Subsequently, Gary’s acquired Tux & Tails, the leading formal wear provider in Arizona. In 1999 Gary’s completed a merger with Gingiss Formalwear, the nation’s largest operator of formal wear rental stores with more than 200 franchised locations and 40 company-owned stores throughout the U.S. The combined operations were later sold to The May Company.

Westec was one of the largest residential security services companies in the United States, with a dominant presence in the high-end full service residential security market in Southern California. The company also was a provider of commercial security. The residential division was sold in 1998 followed by the commercial division in 2000.
Westec expanded from a regional company selling and monitoring customized residential security systems in Southern California only to a multiple division company providing custom and mass-market home security services in over 70 markets around the country in an eighteen-month period. In addition, a high technology division --Westec Interactive --was launched in 1996 and sold in 2004 providing state of the art interactive video/audio services to Fortune 500 commercial clients. |

The investment developed from a proactive initiative, in partnership with an experienced healthcare executive, aimed at consolidating the fragmented $70 billion dental services industry.
Bright Now! Dental was established in 1998 with the simultaneous acquisition of three dental practice management companies that consisted of, in aggregate, 46 dental clinics located in California, Oregon, and Washington. Subsequently, Bright Now! opened numerous new dental offices and executed add-on acquisitions of two other publicly traded dental practice management companies, Monarch Dental and Castle Dental. With 300 dental offices throughout the U.S. and revenues approaching $400 million, in 2005 the company was sold to another private equity fund. |

LifeFleet, the second largest provider of ambulance services in the United States at the time of its disposition, served a population of eight million through five integrated hubs in three states.
From June 1998 to August of 1992, a Partner at Clearlight oversaw a roll up of six acquisitions. With operations in Washington, California, Florida and Oklahoma LifeFleet had approximately 1,600 employees and revenues of $100 million. LifeFleet was sold in 1994. |
